Fourth of July weekend and it looks like the weather is changing for the better. I hope we can get a good turnout after this past weekends dismal conditions. Please let me know if you are planning on playing. See you at the Beach!

Off topic but don't know how to put out a new topic, sorry.
Does anyone know anything about the new VB poles that were put up at the end of Union? They are monstrosities and consume a large part of the beach at a very busy spot.
When I come up for vacation in OOB, I put up my own net in the Union Ave area but try to keep to the back and out of the way as much as possible. I'm afraid that these poles may create some much ill will I may have trouble playing at all.

The posts are going to be cut to a lower height, but they have been approved by the town.
They are also looking at getting 2 nets put in by the waterslide as well to offer the public/tourists a place to play v-ball.
The town has money to spend since it is the 125th? anniversary of OOB!
how many teams are we lookin at for sat??
